Who keeps the rights to my design?

You as the artist keep all the rights to your own design. We are only extended these rights for the days of our sale, so you are free to do with your artwork what you wish before and after the sale. If you want the legal terms of this, they can be found in our artist agreement!

What size restrictions are there for my design?

All designs must be able to fit into a 13"x15" inch area that is printed onto the front of the shirt. At this moment we're not able to print outside of this area. If you are sending a rasterized piece, make sure the resolution is 300 pixels per inch at full size.

How many colors can I use in my design?

We accept designs that are up to 6 colors, however if you are using 6 colors and printing on a dark-colored shirt, one of those colors must be the white base. It has to do with the process of screen printing, and we need to put down a layer of white before we can put the rest of the colors.

Do you have any specialty inks?

Our printers do have metallic inks as well as glow-in-the-dark inks to print on shirts. As they are more expensive, we do not print them as often and typically reserve them for special prints. If you have a design that you think will be enhanced by any specialty inks, please and we can discuss using it!

What color shirts do you have?

We offer fifteen colors at the moment, and we have a color chart here to get an accurate color for you to base your designs or promotions on. If you would like to print on a color that we do not currently offer, feel free to send us an email! On occasion we will print designs on colors we do not typically offer if we really feel the design will sell well.

What format should I submit my design to you?

To send in your design, we need a web-friendly format, such as a .jpg, .gif, .png, or a flattened .tif. The file must be less than 5MB when submitted. If your design is chosen for printing, we will ask for the .psd, .ai, or .eps file to be sent to us.

Do I need to separate the colors before sending in my design?

If we decide to print your design, you just need to send us the unflattened design in one of the formats listed above. We do not need the colors separated, as our printers have their own way of doing this and prefer to do it their way. All gradients should also be changed into half-toning before being sent to us!

When do I find out if my shirt is getting printed?

We try to notify artists at least a week or two prior to their design printing. We will tell you the date your shirt will go live so that you can tell your friends and family!

What am I getting if my design gets printed?

We pay all of our artists $1 for each shirt and $1.50 for each hoodie sold in the duration their shirt design is up! We also will send you a t-shirt with your design printed for yourself!

How many t-shirts will get printed of my design?

We print as many shirts as were ordered in the period of the sale, as well as an additional 3% standard misprint ratio, just in case of damaged prints. We will also print two more, one for our TeeRaiders archives, as well as one to send to you!

When will I get paid after my shirt goes on sale?

Typically you will receive payment 3-5 days after the end of your sale. We also will send out a W9 form later in the year for all of our artists to fill out.

I don't have a PayPal account. Is PayPal the only way I can get paid if my design is printed?

At the moment, this is the only method we have of sending our artists their payment. However, we are very big fans of PayPal, and it's free to open an account with them! We highly recommend it not just for TeeRaiders use, but it's just all-around useful on the internet.

Should I promote my design once you have given me a print date?

Absolutely! We will do some promoting for you but we highly encourage you to do some promoting yourself! Tell all your friends and family, spread it around the internet, post it on your own website and social media if you have one!

What kind of designs are you guys looking for?

We love pop-culture parodies and satires! Send us any art, whether original or parody, and we'll let you know if we want to print it!

Is there a limit on how many designs we can submit at once?

We're looking for the best of the best. Quality is more important than quantity, so don't just send us unfinished designs or things you wouldn't wear on a t-shirt yourself! However, if you are really proud of the designs, feel free to send us a few!
